Plant Design and Planting
Qualified in Garden Design, I have had the pleasure of contributing to the planting scheme of the 2019 Back to Nature Garden at the Hampton Court Garden Festival, co-designed with the Duchess of Cambridge and Davies White as well as helping with planting up the gold medal award winning 'Behind the Screen' Facebook garden at Chelsea Flower show in 2019.
Originally working within a garden maintenance capacity, my love for plants and gardens has steered me in the direction of garden design. My background in the maintenance of plants helps me to better understand the nature of the plants I'm designing with, which helps to produce designs that are practical and realistic.
I come from a practical background, therefore my designs are founded on working out the practicalities of your outdoor space and making sure even the most mundane of details has been carefully considered. This is the key in garden design, and often overlooked, but without it, the aesthetics and beauty of the garden can not be fully appreciated or enjoyed.
